OUR COMMUNITY PLAN 

TV Chef and personality Andi Oliver, stand-up comedian Josh Widdicombe and 

iconic musician Suggs from band Madness will be supporting this project. 

 

The plan is to keep both jobs and the business alive for the Tram Store and Clapton Country Club whilst serving the community in offering food products and delivering them to those who may be in isolation. 

The Clapton Country club is being set up as a grocery store and distribution centre

- The Clapton Country Club Market - 

People who can afford to pay for our goods and services will not only be helping to save jobs they will be helping to help those who are going to most need that help. This altruistic side will be to identify local vulnerable people in the community and deliver them free food and groceries . This is particularly aimed at those in the most at risk group. We shall link with the NHS/local Authority/local pharmacies and offer medication deliveries and a telephone support line to offer support, advice and help. 

 

• We have kitchens, we have space, we have people, we have transport. 

• We will set up a take-away and delivery service for hot food and drinks

• We will set up an essential selection of groceries including fresh fruit, veg dairy etc.

• We will offer gifts, cards and stationary in order to offer up a sense of normality and purpose in people’s minds at this most difficult of times.

• We will offer plants and flowers for the same reason and to cheer people up

• We will also be selling wine and beer. No beer no cheer!

• We will offer a free taxi service where we can for Doctors and Nurses and key people who are working in local hospitals and the community.

• We will set up a telephone support/help line utilising space we have for the local community.

• We will focus on London East 5, Hackney, and then encourage other groups/small businesses to either contribute, link up or to set up similar action groups interacting with them where needed.

We won’t quite be fighting on the beaches, but we will be fighting on the streets!
